and there is no excuse for it.  Well there has been alot going on in my little part of the world.  In June we packed up the store to move it to a new location, however that is to be determined and as of yet it has not.  So I am scrapbooking at home, but not a ton. 

Yesterday was Hannah’s birthday and she turned 19,  So that was a fun day at our house.  We had dinner and my parents over, As she puts it she had a “asseen on tv” kinda birthday.

This year I decided to so a layout per person for christmas.  There are just too many photos to try and get one layout for them all so  this way everyone can have a special page.  My goal is to also have the person do their own journaling. (we’ll see how that goes)

paper- scenic route, title quicktuz snowday,  I cut the photo corners myself and I cut the ornaments out of the paper and popped them up.  The ornament hangers if created out of thin wire.

worlds worst blogger the winner is Patti Church.

I would like to thank the academy for this nomination, and all the little people that make this blog possible.  The pitty is I don’t really have an excuse other then I don’t take the time to sit down long enough and write something.  My life is not really that exciting and to try and make it so is hard work. 

As for scrapping not been getting much done lately.  So no really pages to show off.     Still cropping on a weekly basis  but dinners have been stuff we have already had.  (note to self-find some new recipes). 

In regards to the family everything is great.  Hannah just bought a car last week and I do believe that she is trying to run the wheels off of it by July 1st.  Catie is great not working as much as she would like but picking up tons of baby and dog sitting jobs.  Rick and I spent most of the weekend in the car, with a wedding in Indiana and visiting his grama in Wisconsin.  So lots of sitting time, but it was a great weekend. 

Now off to go be creative, I promise to share whatever I create tomorrow.

Or that’s how I am looking at it.  Yesterday in my email box I received an email from quickutz, (now I don’t know if everyone got this but I like to think that only a few were chosen and one of them was me.)

They are looking for Quickutz Ambassadors, there was a short survey that you had to take and then send a photo of yourself and a 2 page layout that you used quickutz on.  Now the photo of me, not hard to find however the 2 page layout was a little more difficult not to find but to decide which one to use.   

So I am keeping my fingers crossed that I am one of the lucky ones picked.  Talk about a dream come true.  I would be in heaven cause you know that I LOVE QUICKUTZ.

pirates May 20, 2009

have a special place in my heart.  Years ago while at the lake over the 4th of July my husband, brother and 2 cousins while out fishing decided that they were going to quit their jobs and become pirates.  Now keep in mind that one of them is the ceo of a company, one is a financial adviser, one a computer programmer and one is a truck driver.  Once they came back and told the wives their plans they somehow changed their minds.  Not sure how that happened but it was a fun dream job while it lasted.

my first post May 19, 2009

on a Tuesday that I don’t have to go and bowl.  The season is over fo rthe year and I am not going back in the fall.  It was fun when I started and I love my teammates  but It just got to be not fun anymore, and someone said “if your not having fun with it you should stop doing it” and id decided to take there advice.  And when you figure the cost it was quite a bit of change on a yearly basis. 

But I still have a very busy day.  Hannah and I got up early and walked, we are also going to run a million errands today.  Then dinner with Melissa tonight.  Hopefully I will even get some laundry done.

are home alone, cause Rick and Catie went to the Lodi lake house to work on a boat or something.  Not that Catie is working on the boat she just loves the lake and goes anytime she can.  So Hannah and I grocery shopped, I baked 2 pies, and started dinner for the crop tonight.  All while hannah watched and then she played nintendo and yelled at the tv the entire time. 

God it’s good to have her home.

busy and not sure when it will end May 14, 2009

So both girls are now home, and then fun has just begun.  We got home with Hannah on Saturday, and the van was packed.  There was not enough room for a bag of rice to fit.  So now she has the task of putting it all away.  They are pretty good about it, perhaps it’s all the nagging I do.  Anyway there are a ton of boxes in the basement along with 2 fridges 2 microwaves and other misc. stuff,  and the next task is to organize that so we can get to the washer.  However that will have to be another day.

Mothers Day was wonderful.  Kids home, Parents over for Dinner what could be better.  Got some Quickutz and a flowering tree. 

We have a ton of things going on here at the Church house, going away for Memorial Day, Dave coming into town.  We are trying to figure out what to do for the 4th.  The usual is to go to my aunts lake house which we have loved for the last million years (not really but almost) however Dave will be in town and me have tossed around staying home and doing stuff here,  Perhaps a Cougars game, the parade, fireworks and a bbq.  Not sure yet….

Well I have to get in the shower and get to work there late tonight, perhaps I will get some scrapbooking done.

and one to go.  Catie is officially done with her Junior year of college and all her stuff is now on the living room floor waiting for someone (me) to put it away.  We were working on it together and I sat down for 2 seconds and she is not sleeping (and snoring) on the couch.  I have picked up the big things and pack some stuff up to bring to good will tomorrow, but for the most part I am done for the night. 

Saturday we will get to do this all over again when we come home with Hannah.  Not complaining at all it’s kinda nice to have her home.

I just got a call from Hannah that she has finished her first year of college. 

And let me tell you that it was a rough year to say the least.  I never would have believed anyone if they told me how much I would have missed her.  I am looking forward to having her home.  I know it is going to be a little crazy in the beginning, but I hope and pray that we will all adjust and get thru the summer. 

For those of you asking she is planning on returning to the great state of Michagen in the fall and I guess we will play the whole missing you game over.  Maybe this time she will have a better understand of college life and better luck with a roommate. 

As for Catie she is done tomorrow.  Rick is going tonight to help her move her stuff out. And then she will be home on Thursday.
