I because of spring break I was going to meet Catie for lunch.  I invited Melissa to join us in the fun.  So I picked up Melissa at 10:15 this morning and we drove down to Aurora.  We arrived a few minutes before Catie got out of class so we walked around the book store until she was done.  We then got to see her room, (and it was hot and stuffy in there)  Then off to lunch at Chili’s.  Lots of talking and laughing.  Then had to get her back to school so she could go to a 1:15 class.  Melissa and I drove back home, I dropped her off and then headed to the bank and then to my couch where I took a little nap.  It really was a lovely day off. 

I had a photo to share but my computer wont read caties memory card. I will have to try a different way and perhaps load it tomorrow from work.

more disney pages March 31, 2009

they are almost done, and I can honestly say I am greatful for this.  When I started it was a blast to relive the trip with my photos and layouts.  However as the time wears on they are becoming more of a burden then a joy.  I loved the trip and I love reliving it with the photos but I just want them to be scrapped.

paper-luxe design and reminesce,  got the mickey sticker from a friend.  I used a label maker to create the names on the right side of the page.

a productive saturday March 17, 2009

That is what this week was, I got a 2 page layout done and 2 one page layouts completed.  And for me that is very good.  Also to top it off I love all 3 of the layouts that I did.

doodle bug – black paper, not sure who the other paper belongs to, title – maya road and flowers dollar bins at michaels that I recovered with paper that worked for this layout.

title – marisa mini quicktz, the pooh and friends charms were paper clips that I cut the clip part off and attached to the quickutz postage stamp.

wedding day March 7, 2009

No not mine, but a very good friend is getting married today.  I happen to be in the wedding and I have spent the morning getting ready to go.  I have hair all done and hannah helped with the make up. (don’t usually wea any of that).  Now just nylons and a dress and I will be ready to go.  Have to be at her parents at 10:30.  Sure hope it stops raining.

organization March 6, 2009

On my friend Stephenie’s blog she is asking you to “Share your favorite scrapbooking or crafting organization tip”  So I decided to do just that.  Mine is this great cart that may parents got me for christmas.  I store my solid cardstock scraps in it.  It sits right next to me as I crop and when I need a little piece of that certian color it is so handy. 

My challange to you is to either go to Stephenie’s blog and enter her contest or just let me know what your favorite organization tip is.

confusing, confused, confuse March 4, 2009

that is what I beleive is the best word (in any tense)to use when your a parent. 

Not a good week for the church girls and I, and I’m not sure what to do about it.  Monday Hannah called in tears (again) that her “friends” were being mean.  Well needles to say I was not that sympathetic towards her and I yelled at her.  I find it very confusing to think that you as an adult cannot find anyone on a campus of 7000 students that will be your friend and be nice to you. 

Now today I get a call from Catie to inform me that she is babysitting on Thursday night and then going to Carol Stream to go to a midnight movie.  So I say “and then you are going to drive 8 hours on Friday to get your sister”, and her response is yes.  So then I say let me rephrase it ” you are going to drive my car 8 hours the next day” and her response is yeah.  Now I know that I have made her made cause she had to go at that point.  Just a little consufed to think that you can run like the energizer bunny and never crash. 

Here’s to hoping the weekend and next week is better, they will both be home for spring break.  So if you see me and I no longer have any hair you will understand why.
