Sorry that I have not posted in awhile, there has just been alot happening.  CHA was last weekend, and with Quickutz coming to the store to do an event on Thursday, by birthday on Monay.  I feel like I haven’t had time to breathe.

First the Quickutz event was great.  Loads of people came out for it and the evening was a huge success.  It was great to meet our Account Rep Theron, and be able to finally put a face with the voice and name.  He was a little late in getting here but I believe everyone went home happy.  Our big winner for the evening was Lynne, who got to go on a 200.00 shopping spree on the quickutz wall, she came in Monday and collected her winnings.

CHA was a blast, Friday I brought along some customers and they got to expreience it first hand.  And the best line of the day was “I have mentally spent so much money today, it’s not even funny”.  It is fun to see all the new product that they are coming out with and a little scarry trying to decide what to order.

Saturday I was back to CHA to work the Fiskars booth and then in the evening we cropped at the store.  Joyce brought dinner in for my birthday and Diane made the best cake I have every had.  There were also some gifts Thanks Joyce, Stacey and Kate.

Sunday Catie Hannah and Tammy went with to CHA and we spent the day doing Make n Takes.  We all come home with bags of fun projects.

My Birthday was Monday and it was a very nice day.  I have customers that come and crop every monday and they brought me a gift and a cake.  Thanks Betty, Kit, Babette, Lynne and Wendy.  That evening we went to dinner at my parents, and there were more gifts.  I love my birthday cause I LOVE the gifts.  My parents and Catie gave me alphas from Quickutz and I got an I Home from Hannah.  Rick was given strict instructions to not buy me anything cause my Mother’s Day gift was enough for both holidays.

Have to get back to work.

Steph’s crop July 13, 2008

Okay so the crop on Saturday was a blast.  I met 7 new croppers and they all were great.  Jennifer and tabitha traveled from Wisconsin to join us and Paula a fellow fiskateer brought 4 of her friends down from Lakemoor (not sure where that actually is, but I beleive is is close to Gurnee) about an hour away.  Alot of my regulars were there and the day was just filled with great people, food and stories.

One of the snacks I made I promised to put the reciepe up so here it is.

Spicey Beef Dip

1 1/2 lbs ground beef

1/2 cups chopped onion

2 gloves garlic minced

3/4 tsp oregano

1 8oz cream cheese

1 tsp sugar

1/3 cup parmesan cheese.

Brown meat, onion, and garlic.  Drain, stir in tomatoe sauce, katchup, oregano and sugar.  Cover and simmer 15 minutes.  Remove from heat and add cram chees and parmesan cheese, stir until melted and well blended.  Serve warm with corn chips.

Hope you like it.

I will be going to CHA this weekend and will try very hard to show you some peeks of the new merchandise that will be coming out soon.

Make it a great week.

Well there has been so much going on in my life, and some of it is very sad for me.  I was not going to blog about it but several people have asked why I haven’t.  Well you asked for it so here it is.

On July 6th, my baby turned 18!  this is a rough age for me.  To think that my little girl is now an adult was a very emotional day for me.  I joke with the girls all the time that when they turn 18 and are an “adult” we are no long legally responsible for them.  As much some people believe in this, it is one statement that I do not believe in.  I will attempt to take care of them for forever, or as long as they will let me.

Every morining when I talk to Hannah she lets me know how many days until she leaves for college.  I believe this morining it is down to 48.  We have been very busy collecting all the things that you need for school.  You know the really important things like, a cute rug and matching desk lamp.  I will share pictures of all the stuff once me move her in.

Thats about it for now.  I have a big all day crop on Saturday to say good bye to my friend Stephenie the fiskateer, she has taken a job with Fiskars in Madison Wi, and is leaving us.  She will be missed, but is always welcome to crop with us anytime.

Have a great weekend and take lots of picutres.

So today ranks right up there as one of the best days in my life.  I got a call from Quickutz that they want to come to my store (okay not my store, just the one that I work at) and do an event, the week of CHA (craft and Hobby Association).

So after I collected myself, we worked out the details, He is coming July 17th from 6pm till 8pm.  With product give aways and great prices on several items, even a make n take.

Let me tell you there are not many things in this world that would top this, perhaps getting a call from the president of the united states inviting me to dinner, opening the door and having Ed McMahon standing on my porch with a big check made out to me –to name a few.

So I will file this with the other awesome days in my life and try and contain myself until the 17th.  If you live in the area and love Quickutz, stop by Card n Camera and have some fun with us.
