So dinner last night, was said to be the best yet.  I believe that they tell me that every week, but I will have to admit that it was pretty good.

dinner1.jpgBarbecue Chicken with Corn on the Cob

2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 (16-18 ounce) bottle barbecue sauce

1 (6 mini ear) package frozen corn on the cob

Spray a slow cooker with nonfat cooking spray.  Place the chicken breasts in the cooker, pour the barbecue sauce over the chicken.  Put all the mini ears of corn in foil and wrap to seal.  Place corn on top of barbecued chicken.  Cover and cook on low for 7 to 8 hours.

I added potatoes that I quartered and cooked in the slow cooker,  cole slaw and buns.

So today I finished a cute little book that I plan on sending to my Aunt.  I was cleaning out a box while looking for something and came across this bird book that I started as a make n take, from CHA summer.  So I decided to complete it.  I added pictures that I turned Sepia and had printed in wallet size.  Then I added glitter, chipboard, buttons, crackle paint, fabric flowers, rhinestones, raindots,  and more.  My friend Stephenie says that the extras are like the icing on the cake.  And let me tell you I iced this cake to the max!!!!!!!

So last night was “the Hills” mid season premiere, and what a show it was.  My girls watch this crazy show and talk about it all the time.  Well they were going on and on about it one time, and now they have friends over every Monday to watch this show, and since some of the  people they invite, (trisha and krista) are my friends also I sit and watch with them.  Now for those of you that don’t know what it is (how I wish I was one of you) it is a “reality show” about rich chicks in LA.  I know that is so close to reality for me that it hurts to watch it sometimes, seeing my life played out on television.  Anyway getting back to my thoughts, last night our friends Trisha and Krista came over however Catie is back to her dog sitting and she couldn’t join us.  But we did have a special guest Lori Hornickel, she had the pleasure of watching the original and not a re-run.  So if you watched last night, tell me what you thought.  Will Lauren and Brody get back together, will heidi forgive spencer and take him back, will lauren and audrina call their friendship quits over heidi.  The drama that those girls go thru is too much, and so riveting that I can hardly wait for next week.

Thank you to all that voted for the challenge, and the winner of the RAK for voting is Angela she had the 21st ligitiment vote.  Please send me your address so I can get something in the mail to you.   Keep watching the blog there will be more chances to win.

With easter yesterday I did not have  chance to blog, so I will take care of that before I head to work this morning.  We had my parents over for dinner and it was a great time.  Good food, Great company and an overall great day.  Our Catie dog sat last week, and she brought the dog over for the day and he and Lucy got along just great.  However he has some skin problems, so he either has a cone for his head or  clothes to wear all the time.  So it was quite humorous having a dog dressed in clothes.

Anyhow off to get ready for work and not sure how many of you are “The Hills” fans but tonight is the season premiere and you can bet that we will be watching it here.

Have a great Monday.

candy-making-2.jpgcandy-making.jpg

This page is from Christmas of 2006, my Grandma has made candy for Christmas for as long as I can remember, and this year she had some medical issues that she was unable to make it at home by herself, so I volunteered to make it with her.  So on my day off I went over to my parents house and we spent the day making candy.  Only 2 kinds this year.  And let me tell you it is hard work, I now look up to Fannie May and appreciate her candy even more.

I have been a little quiet for the last couple of days, just have alot going on in the home and work life that I just haven’t had the time to sit at the computer.  I have another all day crop this weekend and just trying to pull together the menu, grocery shop, cook the food, and create a make n take sometimes with everything else is a little over powering for me.

I do believe that if I were a child today I would have been labeled  A D D, but since I’m not I like to say that I am like a “crow”, I stay focused until the next bright shiny thing comes along.  So I have many projects started, but they all come together in the end.  I will share all the fun crop stories with you  next week.

I also believe that we all have a little crow in us, and if we would just admit it, live would be easier.  Give it some thought, let me know what you come up with.

Have a great weekend and go crop something.
